SignTrail is a tool that lets businesses with physical signs make those signs scannable and followable. This page explains what we capture and why.

When you scan a sign

We set a first-party cookie with an anonymous, randomly-generated identifier so we can tell when the same device scans more than one sign. We also log the time of the scan, the routing mode, and your browser’s user-agent. We do not place third-party trackers and we do not sell this data.

When you choose to follow a sign

Tapping Follow stores the phone number you provide, with your explicit consent on the form, so the business that owns the sign can text you updates. You can reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out.

The phone number you provide is shared with the specific business you chose to follow. It is not shared with other businesses on SignTrail and is not used to market other businesses to you.
